Am I eligible to receive unemployment if I am doing temp work that primarily consists of week long gigs?

I can’t afford to have to wait two weeks every time I am out of work. Temp agencies provide me with work, but not on a consistent basis. I need to know if it is ok to supplement my California unemployment Benefits with Temp work until I find something permanent.
